THE AUTHOR

I grew up in Jackson Hole Wyoming on a cattle ranch. I learned to climb at a crag Called
Veedauwoo while attending the University of Wyoming in Laramie and have been a
climber all my life. I lived in Jackson Hole for fifty years and was a cross country ski
racer. I like kirtan mantra singing. I tend several lovely gardens. My spiritual journey
began with the Dances of Universal Peace. I am grateful just to be alive. I am grateful that
mother Earth takes care of me. I am grateful to have friends and the beauty around me.

I am an adventurer who likes to travel and climb mountains. I love nature. I am a hard
worker, loving, loyal and generous. I have a son, daughter in law and grand daughter
not living with me.

I love wilderness and I go there every chance I can get. I love to explore spirituality, and
other cultures. Once I lived off the land on a tropical island in Hawaii for ten days. I
bought a house and moved to Bozeman, Montana in 1993. I traveled to India with the
Sufis India Music Tour. I don’t have a TV and don’t have time to watch. I like spiritual
and world music. I wear T shirts and dress pants. I enjoyed the movie Charlie Chaplain’s
Modern Times.

The Final Frontiersman about a family living in the Alaska wilderness is one of my favorite
books. My favorite magazine is the Mountain Record from Zen Mountain Monastery.

It has a very high standard of writing with spiritually oriented articles. I love good tea,
conversation, humor and cooking.
